For this experiment my group, Sammy, Annika, Kazhu, Melany, Ashleigh and I mix corn starch and water to make a sustains called oobleck. A first we had a good balance between the corn starch and water. Which when we applied pressure it hardened and cracked. Then we added to much water and could not get it back. At one point one of the teachers slamed a hammer into the oobleck and the hammer just bounced off it. I then tried it and got stuck in the oobleck. He said that I needed to hit it will all I got, but at last second I doubted smashing it down in fear of missing and hitting the table intended. On a more scientific note, it responded a lot to pressure. When ever we added pressure it crumple and cracked. Then when we let go it liquefied. Depending on the pressure that is being applied, oobleck will crumble or drip. More pressure, the more it crumbles. The less pressure, the more of a liquid it will be. Wile I was working with the others, It was mostly a free for all where ever one was playing with it and we all where just playing with what we could. It was a little too crowded and every one was trying to play with the oobleck. I didn't do much except get yelled at for a personal ocd. If i was to do this lab again I would have more containers for smaller groups so that there is more to go around so every one is not pushing to play with it. I also would work again with most of the people but few I would not like to work with again.
